Awesome spot to stop and chill after a long stroll through Piedmont Park! What a hidden little gem! They have a HUGE selection of craft beers, craft cocktails, and small plates to share. The customer service is EXCELLENT!!! Awesome bar/restaurant feel with outdoor patio seating as well as indoor bar or booth seating. This place is great! Would definitely come back!
Amsterdam Café is a hidden gem behind piedmont Park. The drinks are literally 98% alcohol and 2% chaser. My friend and I both ordered the VooDoo Martini and it was literally death. If your into sweet martinis then this isn't the drink for you. The taste was pretty much all liquor and it was very strong. For $10 you can't beat that. The have a huge indoor bar seating area as well as a large patio outside. The huge projector screens all around the interior make it an ideal place to catch sporting games at too!
We had a nice, chill time at Amsterdam Cafe last Sunday afternoon. We arrived around 2pm. There was a sign that asked us to see a host to be seated. There was no host, so we walked inside to the bar. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and he instructed us to pick a table of our liking. We selected a table on their large patio overlooking Piedmont Park. The menu contains your typical pub grub and they have a nice variety of beers and cocktails. We ordered Cucumber Coolers (FANTASTIC), a Pimms Cup, and split the chicken club on marble rye. Service was prompt, courteous, and enjoyable. Mark was very attentive and did a nice job of pacing his service to our needs. Amsterdam is a nice spot to chill with a cocktail and enjoy the day. Go, sit back, and relax.
